Our Protestors Suck!

A week ago we were very excited to discover that we have enraged some folks so much they have started a protest group against us, using Facebook but still! It made us feel loved, appreciated….. or something like that.

You know the saying, better to be talked about than be a boring dance publication nobody pays any attention too huh?

Anyway, to our dismay the members of this group haven’t been protesting much at all. It’s like they clicked a “join” button on Facebook and stopped caring about their outrage. Or it might be the “not very catchy at all” name (it’s called “What The Hell Is Article19 Talking About”).

We feel like starting a support group, on Facebook naturally, to encourage them to protest more, to vent their angst, to sharpen their pitchforks and really get those torches burning.

We’ll keep an eye on them, reach out if necessary, after all, we’re really good at complaining, maybe they need some tips!

“Rusbridger was unavailable for comment at the time of publication. Last week, after the PCC published its report on its inquiry into the Guardian’s News of the World phone-hacking story, he said: “This report is worse than pointless, it’s actually rather dangerous to the press.” —

The Guardian, unable to locate its own editor! Might we suggest looking down the hall in his office?

“It’s like telling someone their dog’s just died. It was pretty much like that for me. I love it, I love playing Xbox live. I play with my mates all the time. It’s just a good laugh, we all sit there chatting, playing games. Now I don’t know what to do.” —

Would it be harsh to suggest “get a life”?

Sorry but giving Wayne McGregor a metaphorical “reach around” in the media is Judith Mackrell’s job!
